Morning Sun Poem
I wrote this poem while traveling in Israel. It was on this trip that I visited the desert for the first time and fell in love with the quiet I found there. This poem is about experiencing that abundance of nothingness and how I was transformed under the desert sun.
I wake up and slip on the morning sun
I rummage through the golden world, burning
Feeling full of things that don’t exist
I am the voice inside my head,
at last!
